I've been telling stories since I was a girl---writing them, acting them and singing them. My imagination has always taken me to other places, other times, other lives. I suppose you could say it's how I've kept sane in a world that's become increasingly chaotic and unsafe.
No matter what period in history my stories are set, they are always about love. They are about people finding their true path and coming to accept who they really are in spite of the obstacles of time, beliefs, and yes, family.
Stories like mine.
Love is what drew me to the theatre, to teaching and counseling. Love is what took me down a spiritual path from an early age, often through religious beliefs and customs that had more to do with following a set of rules and beliefs than actually living a life of love. Rules and regulations that were so steeped in hypocrisy, I was eventually drained of faith and everything I believed in.
The Arts have always been a way for me to find my center---to connect with my soul and the Divine. A way for me to heal. Discovering the Expressive Arts, first through Julia Cameron and The Artist's Way in 1995 and then through intensive training and certification at The Expressive Arts Institute with Dr. Jane Goldberg, I found myself back on a path to healthy spirituality. In 2008 I was certified in Complementary Color Therapy, through its founder, Arlene Arnold. I continue to take part in the community she founded, Transformational Tools.
The next major step on my path was to heed the call of Spirit to train and emerge as an Alchemical Creation Priestess. Through the lineage of Nicole Christine and the Magdalene, I continue to learn to work in tandem with the elements of Nature and the Cosmos and help to bring information to those who are curious about opening to the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine.
So, what is it I do?
Like most women, I do a lot of different things:
I write, I teach; I facilitate expressive arts classes and color therapy and crystal sessions; I facilitate women's circles; I lead meditation, ceremony and ritual; I continue to take courses and classes through the Love and Light School of Crystal Therapy and through the NW School of Aromatherapy; I coach and encourage folks in connecting to their creativity, their spiritual power and healing source.
It is all about connection---connection to ourselves, to others and to the Universe/God/Goddess/Spirit/Creator, whatever you wish to call The All That Is.
My calling is to be a clear conduit and a bridge for that connection.
May your own Journey be Blessed!
